The
"Kelis" is a perfect option for those individuals wanting a tightly curled look, with a fine, medium coarse textured hair strand. The hair is very versatile, you can wash and go having a deep curly look, or you may pick out the hair to have a beautiful natural afro look. This hair can also be flatironed straight, and washed again to go back to its naturally curly texture. Purchased directly from one of the largest hair suppliers, the hair is of Afro-Latin descent. The hair is extremely difficult to source, reason for the higher price tag. The Afro-Latin hair (of African and/or Latin descent) we use is virgin, meaning
"unprocessed" (no chemicals have touched the strands and all cuticles are intact and facing in the same direction), allowing you unlimited styling possibilities. The hair will not be colored (natural color is usually a Natural Black or Dark Brown) unless you specify that you want a certain hair color from the drop down list below. Allowing us to color the hair ensures that it is properly done, thus eliminating the chance of overprocessing the hair. Highlights and lowlights can be added for a natural look (because the hair is virgin remy hair, you can use dye and lightening agents to customize a color.) If you will be taking it to a salon, make sure they are familiar with working on wigs with "virgin" hair.
"Optimum" lace is used in the construction of this unit, it is the most undetectable lace on the market. It is not only invisible to the eye, when applied properly, but it is also very durable. Please apply, style and remove with care, this is still a fabric and can be easily snagged or torn with improper use of products and styling tools.
"Optimum" lace comes in various colors to match your scalp color- if you have no hair due to a medical reason or by choice choose
"translucent" as your lace color. Translucent lace picks up whatever color your scalp is underneath of it, giving you a great undetectable look. If you do have hair, choose your color very carefully, the color you choose will be visible when you part your unit throughout the cap.
The cap construction is a
"full lace wig"- meaning that it has extended lace around the entire perimeter of the wig. Also no stretch or adjustable tabs/straps are attached to the cap (unless requested), so please measure your head accurately or send in a head template to ensure proper fittment. With a full lace wig you have unlimited styling possibilities; you can part it anywhere on the cap, wear the wig half up or half down, you also have the ability to wear it in braids, an updo or high ponytail.
Other features of our
"Optimum Full Lace Wigs" are that they have colorless rooting/bleached knots throughout the cap, making the hairline and partings even more natural. This is featured on units that are colors 1-4, colors 6 and up have no need for them because of the lightness of the hair color. We process the knots to a light-medium brown, NOT to a blonde, this prevents the hair from becoming overprocessed at the knots. We also seal them to prevent them from loosening overtime. The unit also has a natural hairline, the hair is single knotted onto the cap, and we also do under-venting around the hairline, so the knots are not visible at all! The hair is hand-tied in a freestyle pattern, allowing you to have the ability to part the hair in any direction (if you want a permanent part you may request that).
The
"Kelis" is a custom full lace wig, the production time takes anywhere between 6-8 weeks depending on your custom specifications, and not including in-transit time. The unit is made by a
"single" master wig technician, to prevent inconsistencies in technique and can take 80+ hours to complete. Making large purchases such as this can be a very stressful thing, so this is why we contact you during each stage of the production of your wig. We also give you an
"estimated time of arrival" of your unit to our facility.
